Nowadays there are plenty of sites in the Internet where people are able to learn news. Some people claim, that all information they get through them is absolutely trustworthy, but others believe the opposite.
As far as I am concerned, you should not blindly trust all information you see even on the audited Internet pages for a few reasons. Firstly, many websites care only about making profit, not about informing people about reliable news. Secondly, there are a great deal of different points of view, which are not connected with the real state of affairs. Lastly, some sites present news in terms of their benefit. For example, they may collect the audience for the sake of their own goals like political power. That is why I usually treat websites with some mistrust.
However, some people do not quite agree with this point of view. According to them, the articles in the Internet are written by the skilled professionals in their spheres. Besides, online news sites are better than TV or newspapers. These arguments make people think about the advantages of websites as factual sources of information.
Nevertheless, I do not agree with these arguments. This is exactly owing to my belief that actual information can only be found in some special analytical sources.
In conclusion, I would like to state that information from websites should not be taken for the only trustworthy source. That is why I always verify information I get using other sources.
